We took Ace up to Maine to the Down East Congress. He was a very good boy. There were 7 in the In Hand and he did not pin, he certainly should have as Duncan was LAME and the 2 judges had NOT a clue. When I came out of the ring I commented on the fact that the judges pinned a LAME horse over a sound one. Got a few nasty looks, but told those fools that I could certainly make the comment as I own the LAME horse,
I took him up there to see if I couldn't find him his little girl and YES YES I did.
Her name is Anna Jean and she is 12 years old and she lives in Alexandar, Maine. Her instructor's Mother LOVED him and told me right out IF she had room in her barn she would have him for a carriage horse!!!!/ Anyway, the family drove 3 hrs one way on Sat to meet us and it was LOVE and I mean major LOVE at first sight.
So when we came home to RI the Ace man headed north to a great home.
I will still post to this blog as I hear about him. I am told he is in her pocket at all times and they just love each other to pieces.
I would not have just let him go but this young woman has lots and lots of great people around her who will help her make him the best he can be. Were there tear you bet there were.
